SearStone and Cary Police Team Up for Free Child ID Event
January 1, 2009
CARY, N.C. (January 2008) – SearStone, a distinctly different continuing care retirement community (CCRC), invites the public to a free Child ID Event presented in conjunction with the Cary Police Department. This community event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the SearStone Information Centre, located at 106 Walker Stone Drive in Cary, off Davis Drive just south of the intersection with High House Road.
The Child ID Event will feature digital fingerprinting conducted by the Cary Police Department, crafts, refreshments and a visit from McGruff the Crime Dog.
Our children are our most precious resources, and keeping them safe should be a high priority for all. The EZ Child ID System takes digital scans of each finger and can even record a digital video of the child and their voice. Parents will receive a printed EZ Child ID card and EZ Child form, along with a CD ROM with their child’s information.
“Although SearStone is geared toward active seniors, this event is very much in keeping with our philosophy of striving to be an asset to the entire community,” said Laura Lowe, SearStone’s director of sales and marketing. “Bring the kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews, neighbors – everyone is welcome to this event.”
