SearStone Sponsors Community Antique Event at Prestonwood

October 8, 2007

Guests Invited to Bring One Antique for Free Professional Opinion

Is there a valuable treasure hidden somewhere in your home? Find out at a free, one-time-only Antique Event on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 1 p.m. at Prestonwood Country Club.

Sponsored at no charge by SearStone, a distinctly different senior community, this event is a great way to learn about that mysterious item in your home that’s had you guessing for years.

Guests are invited to bring one item to the Antique Event to be evaluated by antique experts. Prestonwood Country Club is located at 300 Prestonwood Drive in Cary.

“We will discuss the history of the items and give our opinion on whether they are valuable or not,” said Katherine Mitchell of Raleigh Auction and Estate Sales. “It’s a great way to mix and mingle with others and learn about what makes one item more valuable than another when we clean out our attics.”

SearStone will provide refreshments during the event and complimentary round-trip shuttle service to the SearStone Information Centre and model home afterward.

“SearStone is designed specifically for busy, engaged seniors, and this event is just one example of the thought-provoking, informative programming we will provide for our members,” said Susan Linthicum, sales director.
