Performance: "Peak City Singers"

The Peak City Singers are a group of senior citizens, both men and women, who meet every Monday morning at the Apex Community Center to sing and have fun together. The program will range from songs written during the WWII era to present day; songs that will delight the audience and someimtes call for audience participation.

Join us for a lecture on the Reformation by Rev. Wolfgang D. Herz-Lane, himself a native German, former Roman Catholic, adult convert to Lutheranism and currently serving as senior pastor at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Cary. Pastor Herz-Lane will speak on "Luther's Legacy: 500 Years Later," recounting the major events in Reformation history and discussing Luther's lasting influence on religion, language, politics, culture and music.

Hot Horns is a vibrant, award winning and entertaining New Orleans inspired Horn Band. They regularly travel to the United States presenting concerts, interactive educational concerts and master-classes at concert halls, churches, schools and universities. Hot Horns is the premiere educational ensemble of its kind.

Veterans Day Ceremony

Join the SearStone retirement community as we honor our residents who have proudly served in the armed forces.

Program begins with a ceremony in the Grand Ballroom including presentation of colors, resident recognition and pinning ceremony. Featuring guest speaker Jeff Smith, military and veteran affairs coordinator with UNC-TV. To be followed by refreshments in the atrium and the official opening of a permanent Veterans Wall of Honor, including photos of resident veterans in uniform. Open to the public, but RSVPs requested.
